CHBA Launches its $12 n ’12 Scholarship Fundraising

In 2007, the CHBA established the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association Foundation (the "Foundation"), a Colorado non-profit created to provide scholarships to Latino law students at DU and CU. Through the efforts of CHBA leadership and the generosity of its members and friends, the Foundation has been able to award more money to more students every year. In 2011, the Foundation awarded over $24,000 in scholarships.

In 2010, in an effort to increase awareness and funding of Foundation scholarships, the CHBA and the Foundation launched their $11 in ’11 Scholarship Fundraising Campaign through Giving First.Org. Through Giving First.Org, donors can establish recurring contributions or make onetime tax-deductible donations to the Foundation. The $11 in '11 Campaign has raised $15,000 since its launch around this time last year.

The $12 in ’12 Scholarship Fundraising Campaign

The CHBA and the Foundation announce the launch of the $12 in ’12 Scholarship Fundraising Campaign to benefit the Foundation. We are asking each member and friend of the CHBA to make a tax-deductible charitable gift to the Foundation of $12 per month over the course of the next year, or a one-time, tax-deductible charitable gift to the Foundation of $144. But no contribution is too big or too small, so please consider donating at any amount you desire.
