The CHBA YLD has co-sponsored a reception intended to diversify the Colorado legal community.

Representative attorneys from the public, private and corporate sectors are invited to mingle with minority students from CU and DU law schools.

The reception is intended to give students an opportunity to network. The annual event has become a great success and has received great support from the bench and legal community in general.

Through this program, community residents are afforded the opportunity to meet with attorneys to discuss a variety of legal issues in the areas of Family Law, Employment Law, Bankruptcy, Auto Insurance and Criminal Law.

This program matches attorneys with middle school students. Attorneys meet with students for a minimum of one hour per week.

The mentoring sessions are intended to promote eductation, self-reliance and pride in Hispanic youth.

The program has been very successful, and the attorney participants have been honored by the Horace Mann administration.
